Printing Processes

Lithographic Printing

This is a five-star printing option that provides a glossy HD photographic quality seen in magazines.

Lithographic print finish has seen an increase in demand in the SA packaging industry due to its picture-perfect qualities, which enable any customer’s product to be better marketed.

Using our state-of-the-art Heidelberg litho machines, we offer a wide range of finishes to our customers directly from our printing facility. This is a top-tier printing process that will give any customer a competitive advantage.

Digital Printing

Unlike other commercial printing methods that use printing plates and presses, digital printing prints directly from the digital artwork file onto the selected substrate.

It is an ideal solution for producing short print runs economically and quickly, allowing us to meet all of our clients’ production needs. Megapack’s digital process allows us to show a customer how their product will look and feel before going the litho route.

Our digital division is set up to handle small runs of packaging products, business cards, manuals, and presentation folders – in short, anything that is paper rebated.

Flexographic Printing

Flexographic printing is the most common and widely used type of printing in the packaging industry. It can be used to create eye-catching designs that come to life on corrugated material, such as a company name and logo or the message ‘FRAGILE – HANDLE WITH CARE.’

This process offers numerous options, including regular slotted cartons or die cuts between our in-house facility and our preferred suppliers, who have industry-leading machinery that allows us to provide cost-effective options with up to 5 colors. This holds a special place in our hearts because it is where Megapack we began.
